The Capitol Visitor Center provides a Web-based event reservation program to process requests from Congressional offices for the use of meeting rooms and designated spaces in the Visitor Center. To access the Capitol Visitor Center Room Scheduling System go to https://rsvp.aoc.gov/. We also recommend using the Google Chrome web browser versus Internet Explorer.

    • Users must register with official congressional email addresses
    • The password must be 12 characters and include at least one uppercase, one lowercase and one special character
    • If you forget your password you are able reset on the website portal

NOTE: Reservation requests for House (HVC) and Senate (SVC) Expansion Spaces are managed through the Speaker’s Office and Senate Rules Committee, respectively.

Terms of Use

The Capitol Visitor Center Special Events Office is responsible for managing reservations and use of the Visitor Center rooms and spaces that are under the direction of the CEO for Visitor Services. Please read U.S. Capitol Visitor Center Policy for Use of Meeting Rooms and Spaces for complete information.

  • For purposes which serve the Members of Congress and are Congressionally related. The sponsoring Member is expected to attend the event.
  • To organizations having objectives closely related to those of the Congress, or other related educational or cultural objectives, when sponsored in writing by the Member of Congress who is expected to be in attendance at the event.
  • Events may be scheduled during regular operating hours for non-visitor areas (e.g. Congressional Meeting Rooms, Congressional Auditorium) and during non-operating hours, including evenings.
  • Visitors will not be displaced or inconvenienced to accommodate catering or events.
  • Event guests will not be extended privileges contrary to visitor policies, e.g., bringing food into an orientation theater.

Reservation Procedure

  • All requests will be processed on a first come, first served basis.
  • Room requests are accepted up to four months in advance; the following months will become available on the first day of each month beginning at 8:30 a.m.
  • Failure to provide the required information will result in loss of reservation.

NOTE: Event requests with films require an additional step of approval and therefore will not be considered if submitted within two weeks of the event date.

Prohibited Usage

  • Ceremonies or events of a personal nature are not permitted, i.e. weddings, funerals, memorial services, award presentations honoring individuals or external groups.
  • Booking and use of CVC event space for any commercial, promotional, or profit making purpose is strictly prohibited.
  • CVC event space may not be used for political party, political action committee, or campaign activities.
  • No charge may be levied for use of event space in the CVC.
  • No charge may be levied on participants for any purpose while in the CVC.
  • No money or any other items may be collected in the CVC for any purpose, including charitable causes.
  • No fundraising is permitted in CVC event space.
